CIRCUIT TRAINING AND SCULPTING MUSCLE: The major benefit for the WORK-IT-CIRCUIT user is inches lost. You will burn lots of calories, strengthen and tone your muscles while having fun. You will look better and feel better. There is no negative or eccentric resistance with WORK-IT-CIRCUIT, which is necessary for body building and developing bigger muscles. What you will notice are stronger, leaner, more toned muscles. The benefit of stronger muscles is an increase in your resting metabolism, which means you will be burning more calories during everyday activities. WORK-IT-CIRCUIT machines use hydraulic resistance, there is no “negative” (lowering the weight) resistance which causes muscle soreness. You will feel a very satisfied “fatigue” after a workout, but no soreness the next day.


 

CIRCUIT TRAINING AND LOSING INCHES: You will burn body fat faster than other 30-minute workouts; however, as you increase your muscle strength, you may gain a pound or two of muscle weight. You will quickly change your body composition and lose inches. 1) You burn more calories during your workout. Each machine works two major muscle groups, thereby utilizing more muscle mass and burning more calories. 2) You burn more calories following your workout; your body’s metabolism stays higher longer. 3) You will increase lean body weight and metabolism. A pound of muscle will burn about 50 calories per day more than a pound of fat. Research shows that a 30-minute WORK-IT-CIRCUIT workout burns between 350-900 calories depending on the fitness level of the exerciser and the intensity of the workout. As you progress and get stronger, you will burn off more calories each workout.

If you do not vary your workout routine your body will eventually run on cruise control, and you will experience a plateau. Changes in your routine will surprise the body and force it to adapt, bringing you to new levels of fitness. Varying your activities is important to avoid or break through a plateau. If life is perfect, I would recommend 4-8 weeks of working out in one circuit and then 4-8 weeks of working out in the other circuit!
Variety is the spice of life! It's also a lot more fun, and when you are having fun, you are more likely to stick to your workout program!
The Circuit Atmosphere: PRO-Fit Circuit will offer a much more independent workout. There is not a “Social Circle” or Facilitators in the room. There is a TV, in addition to the music. The regular “Change Stations” is 40 seconds compared to 30-second changes.
The Workout: At WORK-IT CIRCUIT, you pump fast and hard without necessarily performing a full range of motion on the equipment. The faster you pump, the more resistance you get! You maintain your heart rate on the “recovery” stations.  At PRO-Fit Circuit, you work slowly on the equipment and increase your heart rate on the “cardio stations.” You incorporate almost a full range of motion (just before the joint locks.)  Two different ways of working out!
Days On/ Days Off- The hydraulic equipment in WORK-IT CIRCUIT gives you, “Positive/Positive” Resistance. The equipment works two opposing muscle groups on each piece. Example: You lift with your Bicep muscle and you lower with your Tricep muscle on the Bicep/Tricep machine. In PRO-Fit Circuit, the equipment gives you a “Positive/Negative” Resistance. Example: You lift with your Bicep and lower (Negative Resistance) with your Bicep Muscle. In order to reap the positive benefits of Negative Resistance, the muscle needs to rest, in order to strengthen and grow.  Therefore, it is not recommended to workout on consecutive days with weights. FYI- “Negative” Resistance, (although it doesn’t mean having a negative effect) will give the user more muscle definition and some additional “bulk” muscle. The main difference for men and women on how their bodies will respond to weight training lies in their testosterone levels and genetics. As for women, it is virtually impossible,(naturally) to bulk up on muscle to look like a female Arnold Schwarzenegger, because natural testosterone levels are too low.Negative Resistance is also what can lead to muscle soreness and a greater chance of injury to muscle. Hydraulics don’t offer Negative Resistance, therefore, there is no muscle soreness after your workout! In addition, the muscle will tend to elongate, rather than bulk.
At PRO-Fit Circuit we also incorporate Core Training into the circuit! The power center of the body – the trunk- (abdominal muscles and back) is the literal and physical bridge that allows for dynamic, powerful, coordinated, skillful, and integrated responses of the whole body. Core training extends well beyond vanity and into the domains of improved health and fitness and enhanced athletic performance. In order to work the majority of the core muscles safely, the workout must be done in a slow deliberate fashion. But keep in mind, although there is much more attention paid to the core muscles at PRO-Fit Circuit, when it comes to burning fat, spot reducing, (example: reducing only the fat in the abdominal area) just does not work. The underlying musculature can be developed with exercise but what's hiding all the good stuff is FAT. To burn the fat, we incorporate aerobic activity.
